Bali

Bali has hundreds of bars, but only a few genuine British and Irish pubs. They are concentrated in the south of the island: Kuta and Legian have long-running pubs popular with British and Australian holidaymakers, Seminyak and Canggu have a handful among the beach clubs, and Sanur has quieter, older-established locals favoured by long-stay visitors and retirees.

Expect proper pints, fish and chips, full English breakfasts and big-screen sport, often showing the Premier League and rugby at friendlier hours than in Europe. Imported beers cost more than local Bintang, so look out for happy hours.
