The Duke of York has been a Sai Kung institution since the late 1980s and is one of the oldest British-style pubs in the New Territories. It sits on Fuk Man Road in the town centre, with a dark, cosy interior, a dartboard, a pool table and a few tables outside.
It is a place for a pint rather than a meal, with a decent tap selection, a good range of whiskies at reasonable prices and a happy hour. It is a regulars' pub, but newcomers are made welcome.
It is open every day from noon until midnight. Note that it is cash only.
