Union Jack Tavern

Union Jack Tavern is one of Metro Manila's most authentic British pubs, on V.A. Rufino Street in Legazpi Village, Makati's business district. It looks the part, with Union Jack bunting, panelled walls lined with British prints, arched windows and green-upholstered booths, and it has a comfortable, unpretentious feel that suits both an after-work pint and a long lunch.

The kitchen serves British classics in generous portions: fish and chips with mushy peas, shepherd's pie and an all-day full English breakfast with black pudding. There is local craft beer on tap alongside imported beers, and sport on the TVs.

It is open Monday to Saturday from 11am to 11pm and closed on Sundays.
