The Shakespeare

The Shakespeare opened on 30 May 2026 on Sukhumvit Soi 63, a short walk from BTS Ekkamai and opposite the Eastern Bus Terminal. It was set up by British owner Harry Williams with three partners, and it has quickly become one of the busiest English pubs on the Ekkamai side of Sukhumvit. Inside is a proper bar with Guinness, Old Speckled Hen and Rattler cider on draught, plus a pool table. Outside is a large terrace, split into smoking and non-smoking areas, for watching the world go by.

The menu covers the pub classics: pies, bangers and mash, fish and chips, a full English breakfast until 2pm and a Sunday roast, alongside burgers, pizzas and Thai dishes. Premier League football and rugby are shown on the screens, and there are regular pub quizzes and Thursday pool tournaments. It opens early and closes late every day, and there is free parking.
