The Queen & Mangosteen occupies a ground-floor corner of VivoCity, opening onto the boardwalk that looks across the water to Sentosa. Inside there is brick, dark wood and a long bar; outside, a covered terrace with fans and a guardsman figure keeping watch over the tables.
The kitchen sticks to British comfort food. Its pies are the signature, led by Fisherman's Pie and a beef and Guinness version, alongside Scotch eggs, bangers and mash, fish and chips and a full English breakfast. Beer comes on tap and by the tower, Pimm's appears in the summer cocktail list, and there is a Sunday brunch menu and a weekday set lunch.
Big matches are shown on a projector screen, and an early-evening happy hour draws a post-work crowd. Children get colouring materials, which makes it handy for families on the way to or from Sentosa or the cruise centre.
