The Old English

The Old English has been a Thonglor favourite since 2018. After many years on Soi 55 it moved to a new home on Sukhumvit Soi 53/1, right next to BTS Thong Lo, bringing its regulars with it. It is a loud, friendly pub with more than ten screens, a free pool table and a covered patio, and it publishes a weekly schedule of the Premier League, rugby, F1, UFC, AFL and NRL it is showing.

The kitchen does British food well: steak and Guinness pie, bangers and mash, the "Churchill" full breakfast and Sunday roasts with big Yorkshire puddings. Guinness is on draught, happy hour prices are good, and there is live music on some nights. It opens at 8am for breakfast and stays open until 2am every day.
