The Blarney Stone is an Irish pub on Jalan Pelangi 2 in Kuah, Langkawi's main town on the east side of the island and a short hop from the jetty. Behind a green shopfront with a few stools out front, the ground-floor bar has leather armchairs, chunky wooden tables and walls lined with Irish memorabilia. The pub changed hands in 2026 and reopened under new owners in mid-June.
Guinness is on draught alongside Tiger, Heineken and Corona. The menu has been built around Irish and British pub food, with fish and chips, pies, lamb shank and big Irish breakfasts, though the first-floor restaurant is closed for renovation for now, so check what the kitchen is serving before you go.
It doubles as Langkawi's go-to sports bar, with big screens showing Premier League football, rugby, F1, NRL and AFL, and staff will usually put on a match if you ask. There are live band nights too. The bar opens daily from 3pm until late.
