The Black Swan

The Black Swan is an old-fashioned English pub on Sukhumvit Soi 19, just north of Asok and Terminal 21. It moved here from its original site on Sukhumvit Road, bringing its wood panelling, bric-a-brac, fireplace and long-serving staff with it, and it feels like a pub that has been around for years, because it has.

The menu is British comfort food at fair prices: meat and potato pie, roast pork with all the trimmings, full English breakfasts and chicken cordon bleu, with a long list of Thai dishes too. Guinness is on draught, happy hour runs until 9pm, and the Premier League is shown on the TVs. A few tables on the street-side patio cater for smokers. It opens mid-afternoon on weekdays and at noon from Friday to Sunday.
