Shenanigans Irish Sportsbar & Restaurant

Shenanigans sits on a busy corner of Surawong Road at the north end of Patpong, about ten minutes' walk from BTS Sala Daeng. Inside it is a traditional Irish bar of brick and dark wood, calm in the daytime and lively at night, and outside there is a large wooden patio facing the street. A connected air-conditioned room, the Snug, adds a pool table and some craft beer.

Guinness is the main pour and the pub is known as one of the city's busiest Guinness bars, alongside Stella Artois, draught Chang and BrewDog. The kitchen covers the pub classics, such as an Irish breakfast, shepherd's pie and fish and chips, plus Thai-Irish mash-ups like a pad kaprao pie.

Rugby, football and fight nights are shown on several screens and a projector, and every Friday evening the Bangkok Beatles play a tribute set. It makes an easy first stop for a night out around Silom and the Patpong night market.
