Scruffy Murphy's

Scruffy Murphy's is an Irish-owned pub on Sukhumvit Soi 23, a short walk from BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit. Behind its long red and gold frontage is a dark, cosy Irish bar hung with county flags, with screens for the GAA, rugby, cricket and football, a pool table upstairs and a covered outdoor area for smokers.

Guinness is on draught and the whiskey list is claimed to be the largest in Bangkok, good enough to win an Irish Pubs Global award for the best Irish whiskey experience in Asia. The food includes an Ulster fry, beef and Guinness stew, fish and chips and a Sunday roast, plus daily specials and Thai dishes. There is live music on several nights a week. It opens at 11:30am on weekdays and 9am at weekends.
