Molly's Tavern

Molly's Tavern is easy to spot on Thaweewong Road, the beachfront strip in Patong, thanks to its bright red frontage. It sits around 350 metres from Bangla Road but is a pub first, aimed at holidaymakers and residents who want a sit-down pint and a proper meal.

Guinness, Kilkenny and Magners are poured alongside Chang and Singha. The menu covers a full Irish breakfast, fish and chips, Irish beef stew, bangers and mash, chilli con carne, BBQ pork ribs, a 200g Molly's burger and ribeye or tenderloin steaks, with Thai dishes such as pad Thai for those who want them.

A band plays every evening from about 8:30pm, sport is shown on the TVs, and the Sunday roast runs all day. Happy hour lasts until 6pm daily, which makes an early-evening visit good value.
