Howzat

Howzat is a long-running British-style sports bar on Kalayaan Avenue in Poblacion, Makati, and one of the city's best-known expat haunts. As the cricket-inspired name suggests, sport is the point: football, rugby, cricket and much more are shown on the screens, including matches in the small hours of the morning, and there is a pool table.

The food leans British, with steak and kidney pie, burgers and full breakfasts, and the Sunday roast carvery is a fixture for Manila's British community, served as a buffet with an optional unlimited-beer package. Beer is cheap by Makati standards, especially at happy hour.

It is known for staying open around the clock, but check hours before a late visit.
