Healy Mac's Medan

Healy Mac's Medan sits in the Centre Point shophouse block on Jalan Timor, next to Centre Point mall in Medan Timur. It carries the same name as the Irish-owned Healy Mac's pubs in Kuala Lumpur and has the look to match: dark wood booths, turned-wood railings and stained glass above the bar.

It is one of very few places in Medan where you can settle in for a beer in a proper pub setting. There is a good range of beers, a menu of pub snacks and western and Indonesian plates, and a live band most nights, which can get loud.

Unusually, it is listed as open 24 hours a day, every day. It is busy with locals and visitors alike, and packed around Chinese New Year.
