Carnaby opened at The Quayside on Robertson Quay in September 2024, named after the London street and dressed to match: record sleeves and punk-era cuttings on the walls, a British rock playlist and about 85 seats. It is run by chef Adam Penney, better known in Singapore for his burgers.
The menu reads like a modern London pub. Its 'Hall of Fame' dishes are roast Angus beef rump or herb-roasted chicken with Yorkshire pudding and tallow-fried potatoes, beer-battered hake and chips with mushy peas, and a steak and Guinness pot pie. Scotch eggs, bangers and mash, a creamy fish pie and sticky toffee pudding fill out the list. Asahi is on draught, with canned Guinness, Brothers cider and Pimm's-based drinks.
This is a place to eat rather than stand at the bar. It is pet-friendly, has a children's menu, and runs a weekday happy hour from 5pm to 8pm. Closed on Mondays.
